Will it harm my engine?

No. As long as you mix the fuel according to our instructions, your vehicle will run as well, or better than it does on petroleum diesel.  In case you haven't heard, more and more diesel engines are suffering from injection pump failure due to the DECREASING quality of petroleum diesel fuel.  Over the last 15 years, stricter environmental regulations have required less sulfur in diesel fuel.  Unfortunately, removing the sulfur also removes the natural lubrication properties of the fuel.  This has led to a significant increase in injection pump failure since the pump's use the fuel to lubricate itself.

However, our fuel naturally lubricates the pump and is naturally sulfur free.  Simply compare petroleum fuel to our fuel by rubbing a little between your fingers.  You will see right away which one is more slippery.  An additional sign of this increased lubrication is that the engine will run quieter.  You will notice right away that your diesel's distinctive "clicking" sound will become a much duller, muffled click.  Our fuel will lead to longer injection pump life.  However, it can't reverse any wear already caused by years of petroleum diesel use.  Since the cost of replacing an injection pump can range from $1,200 to 5,000, our fuel is a notable money saver for maintenance as well.

Will I notice a difference in performance?

Not at all.  The fuel is equal in performance characteristics to any premium diesel fuel.  In fact, it is consistently better than most diesel fuels purchased nationwide.  Petroleum diesel fuels vary widely in their quality, even if made in the same refinery.  Furthermore, many people put the cheapest diesel fuel Diesel #1 in their vehicle rather than the more expensive Diesel #2.  The lower cetane value of Diesel #1 results in less complete burning of the fuel, and therefore more maintenance problems in the long run.  With our system, YOU will make the fuel and maintain the consistency by following our simple steps.

Fuel mileage is also comparable to petroleum diesel fuel.  The only difference you will notice is the great smell coming from your tailpipe.  That's right, the traditional smelly diesel is eradicated with our method and replaced by a smell reminiscent of a Fry Daddy cooking up a meal.  This makes for a great conversation piece as well as a very nice smelling diesel.  When we are asked what the smell is coming from our car, we like to say, "That's the smell of money!  I'm saving a fortune with this fuel."

Do I need to modify my vehicle in any way?

No.  Search the internet and you will find numerous companies selling conversion kits.  They range in price from $800-2,000 not including the cost of paying a mechanic for the conversion.  The premise here is that heating the oil makes it useable in raw form.  This is essentially true though the oil is lacking several critical additives.  The problem is that such conversions require 2 tanks, which means that until the oil is heated you are running on petroleum diesel.  2 tanks, electronic heaters, heated filter units, heated tank, tank switching system, and more headaches than most people desire.  All that plus running on a converted system still requires similar methods of filtration as we employ to remove food particles from the fuel.   Rather than requiring this large conversion and extra maintenance, our method only requires a few minutes of mixing in the right proportions of ingredients and our special additive, fill your tank, and you are finished.

Why haven't I heard of this before?

For one thing, you probably live in America.  Americans have enjoyed some of the world's lowest gas prices for years.  However, recently you have probably noticed that fuel prices are hovering above $2.00 per gallon.  This is due to many factors and will likely NOT change much any time soon.  In fact, since Americans are becoming accustomed to seeing $2.00 prices, it is doubtful prices will ever be near $1.00 again.  For those who may remember years ago when prices first topped $1.00 per gallon, it's interesting that the “temporary” increases soon became permanent.  With our system, though, you will never have to shop for the best price again.  You will set your own price, less than 50 cents per gallon.

The Europeans, on the other hand, have been paying over $4.50 a gallon for decades due to their high fuel taxes.  Over the years, pioneering Europeans have used diesels to gain better mileage and many have read through their history books to recall that Rudolph Diesel, the inventor of the diesel engine actually used peanut oil to run his engine.  The need for vegetable oil run engines never took off because of the, then cheaper, proliferation of petroleum oil.   Thus, Europeans developed methods to use both fresh and waste vegetable oil to power their vehicles.  For Europeans, and today Americans, the original intent of Dr. Diesel is becoming a reality.   Today, we bring this method to America.

**** Canadians take Note.  Canada is the largest exporter of fuel in North America, in the 1950's we created Canola Oil from rapeseed (that's why is called Canola - Canada Oil), and we are the worlds largest exporter of edible oil grains.  However, when 36% of the price of fuel is tax, what possible impetus could the government have to encourage you to become fuel independent by using farm materials that grow naturally in the nations back yard!!   Despite all our advantages Canada rates last among the G7 nations in the world for an enviromental alternative to fossil fuels or having ANY substantial plan to change that.

Should I consult my mechanic?

Certainly.  However, be prepared for either raised eyebrows or skepticism.  Most American diesel mechanics have only heard passing details about people converting their vehicles to run on vegetable oil.  Since bad news travels quicker than good news, they have probably heard a few stories of people clogging their filters by using unfiltered oil or by using hydrogenated oil (shortening) and not allowing the heaters to properly thin the fuel, etc.  They will understandably be hesitant to encourage your use of any alternative fuel, fearing your wrath if your vehicle suffers.

Many of our customers instead prefer to make the fuel, fill up their tank, and stop by their mechanic's shop to show it off.  Every mechanic for whom we have conducted such a demonstration walks away impressed, a bit dazed, and a little wiser on the history and amazing flexibility of diesel engines.

What if I  run low on my “fuel,” can I put petroleum diesel in my tank?

Yes.  You can add regular diesel into your tank at any ratio, any time.  The only differences you will notice is a progressive return of the smelly petroleum diesel and a thinning of your wallet.

Can I use this fuel in my gas car?

Sorry, this fuel is made only for diesel engines since diesels run on the principle of high compression vs. gas engines use of combustion by fire.  The good news is that diesels are increasing in popularity and can be purchased in virtually every type of car or truck.  Economy cars, mid-size sedans, luxury sedans, pickup trucks, and even SUV's all have diesel optional engines.  There are even millions of good older diesel vehicles on the road today.  Buy one and change your driving life and your financial future.

Many of our customers have sold all their gas vehicles and made their entire family “fleet” run cheaper.

How much will I save?

How much do you drive?  On average people save from $1,200 to $30,000 a year depending on whether they are an occasional driver, drive often, or drive a truck for a living.  What you save depends on you.  More importantly, what you do with the money you save on fuel is up to you.

Is this for real?

Absolutely.  Search the internet and you will see hundreds of sites boasting thousands of people using vegetable oil as diesel fuel as either Bio-diesel or by converting their car.  The great difference in our system is that the drawbacks of price and vehicle conversion do NOT apply to our system.  Our variation of the European method is only now being brought to America because of our great experts.  Take a look at the Expert/Customer Feedback link to see video of one of our experts as well as some of our happy fuel users.

How much will I have to spend to build the "fuel station" to make my fuel?

The parts for the "fuel station" can be found at any Wal-mart and Home Depot or Lowe's. Depending on your location, you will need to purchase about $180-190 worth of parts. It will take only a couple of hours to assemble. Not mechanically inclined? Don't worry, assembly is very easy if you follow our step-by-step manual. If you can use a drill and a screwdriver, you can build this system and say goodbye to the $2-3 plus per gallon fuel stations.

****  Canadian prices are more like $300.  Parts are readily available at Home Depot, Rona, Home Hardware, Canadian Tire, Walmart

Emissions?

Depending on the vehicle, it's general condition, etc, the fuel made with our system produces emissions that are significantly less than petroleum diesel and 2-4% higher than biodiesel.

This is due to the fact that our fuel is 87% pure vegetable oil. A significant advantage over petroleum and a small tradeoff against bio-diesel for the benefit of easier and safer manufacture.

Fuel economy?

Fuel economy is virtually identical to petroleum. Some people claim they get the same, some a little more, and some say 1-2% less. Even if the latter is true, a 1-2% trade off in economy is easily countered by the $2.00 savings per gallon.

Cold weather? Does it gel? What's the gel point/cloud point of your fuel?

We have a section in our manual describing how you can safely thin out your fuel mixture even more than the standard mixture which performs well to just below freezing, just as Biodiesel or petroleum. By such scaled thinning as needed, your vehicle will run equal to any other vehicle using any form of diesel fuel at any given temperature.

Storage of fuel?

It would NOT be prudent to store the fuel for a year before use. Our additives do retard bacterial growth, but nothing can stop it. WE recommend using the fuel within the first weeks to 2 months of manufacture, depending, of course, on a variety of variables including ambient temperature, type of oil used, how long oil sat idle before making into fuel, etc.

Warranty Voiding?

Yes, by definition, anything from Slick 50 to STP added to your engine can be justification for voiding of your warranty if the manufacturer desires. The issue is, of course, whether you tell them what you put in your engine.

****  No dealer of vehicles or equipment will warranty any type of alternate fuels.

Glycerin & Carbonizing issue for vegetable oil based fuel?

Glycerin is no more an issue to vegetable based fuel than paraffin is to petroleum based diesel. Both are easily burned up in the high compression explosion of a diesel engine, assuming the fuel is thinned well enough to properly spray out of the injectors. The temperature inside the combustion chamber is between 1300-1600 F and glycerin is consumed at 380 F. As long as it sprays properly as our fuel does, no residual will be left unburned and, therefore, no potential for carbon buildup.
